Esi Hardy
Co-Chair of Trustees
Pronouns: she/her
I have been a member of ParaPride Trustees since April 2022 and I bring with me over 15 years of experience in working in disability equality for the empowerment of Disabled People and Disability Rights. During this time, I delivered strategic training for local authorities working with Disabled People to deliver person centred support and personalised care. As well as this, I have sat on and Chaired several co-production strategic boards and panels. This includes the Personalisation Expert Panel; a panel of disabled service users, carers and strategic management within Hampshire County Council.
Alongside being a Co-Chair with fellow Chair Katie Hudson, I advise ParaPride on service delivery; specifically in the areas of LGBTQ+ disability awareness and inclusion training and talks.
As a “day job”, I am the founder and owner of Celebrating Disability; a disability inclusion business. Celebrating Disability work with businesses and not-for-profit organisations to develop inclusive cultures for disabled employees and customers.
I am a physically Disabled Person and refer to myself as a hybrid wheelchair user.
To me, ParaPride is a place where we can all feel safe to be ourselves within our community.
