ParaPride Making LGBTQ+ History

Summary

In celebration of LGBTQ+ History Month 2023 we’d be honoured to welcome you to ParaPride’s long awaited in-person event! Our first event since 2020 (pre-lockdown) at Hackney Town Hall.

An event that celebrates the disabled and LGBTQ+ intersectional community.

February 19th 2023, Hackney Town Hall.

In celebration of LGBTQ+ History Month 2023 we’d be honoured to welcome you to ParaPride’s long awaited in-person event! Our first event since 2020 (pre-lockdown) at Hackney Town Hall.

ParaPride will be marking LGBTQ+ history by presenting the largest showcase of disabled LGBTQ+ talent with a spectacular line-up of creative acts. Expect comedy royalties, Drag Kings & Queens, aerial artists, pole performers, poetry, comedy, DJ sets and more.

For the first time there will be a Community Networking area for everyone to connect, engage, share information, learn and have fun, there will also be an interactive panel discussion with special guest-speakers, focusing the conversation on Disability/LGBTQ+ Inclusion.

ParaPride is committed to creating an inclusive, accessible and enjoyable event in a safe environment for our intersectional disabled / LGBTQ+ community, as well as for our friends and allies. We look forward to sharing this memorable experience with you.

Although we believe LGBTQ+ History should be remembered, marked and celebrated all year round, February is a time that opens up windows of great opportunities to learn, educate, raise awareness and give visibility to the more marginalised and intersectional LGBTQ+ communities. In this great spirit of inclusion we look forward to welcoming you to ParaPride 2023: Making LGBTQ+ History.

Thanks to the support of Hackney Council and generosity of Hackney Pride365, we are very excited to be holding this event in the vibrant and wonderfully diverse London borough of Hackney.
