ParaPride is a grassroots organisation entirely run by a group of volunteers. We’re always looking for new people to get involved and support our work.
A message from our Chair of Trustees
We’re so happy that you are considering how you can support ParaPride. As a team we’re always eager to hear from others who wish to join us on our journey to better the lives of LGBTQ+ people. Since our founding in 2019 the organisation continues to grow, learn and evolve to ensure we continue to make ever more positive impact and we do this by embracing new perspectives like yours.
ParaPride is powered by a vibrant, dynamic and talented team of people with a great range of backgrounds, skills and interests. Almost all of our team members have lived experience of being both LGBTQ+ and disabled and many also have other marginalised factors making up their intersectional identities. We pride ourselves on our ability to celebrate our diversity in our work.

Why volunteer with ParaPride?
As an AuDHD, queer, non-binary person, volunteering with ParaPride felt personal as well as purposeful.
I’m proud to have supported an organisation doing vital work for people like me, and to have played a part in designing this website, developing social strategy, and supporting with events as part of the marketing team.
As gay man with autism, I am passionate about helping people from diverse backgrounds lead fulfilling lives.
I am proud of being a trustee of ParaPride as a community led organisation which listens to the needs of our focus communities, highlights their stories and works towards positive change in society.

I volunteered for ParaPride to find a community of like minded people with similar experiences and contribute to the empowerment of queer and disabled people.
ParaPride exceeded all my expectations. I’ve had the honour of helping out during the annual Disabled Extravaganza event, promoting Intersectionality Awareness Week, and have made life long friends.
Launching the new Sunflower Lanyard represents a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to foster inclusivity and support within our community.
We are excited about our partnerships with EPOA and ParaPride and look forward to supporting Pride events and organisations with our new Sunflower Intersex-Inclusive Pride flag Sunflower lanyard.
Student and Trainee Programs
We pride ourselves on our ability to partner with education providers and workplace training programs to support opportunities for students and associates to demonstrate and supplement their coursework. We work with educators to design one-off projects and assignments with individuals or groups of students or more comprehensive programs of work experience.
